We started right after breakfast, brought the empty bottles from the last evenings back to the nearby corner shop and then went straight to the track. It started directly with some nice sandy passages and later deep holes in the moor. Luckily it hadn't rained the last few days and we had temperatures around 30°C, so it was very dry. In wet conditions, this part with narrow passages and deep holes would have been exciting. Afterwards we continued primarily on gravel roads until we took a break near Rohuküla at a really nice forest playground and then took the ferry to the island of Hiiumaa.
Once there, we also partly followed the TET to head for a nice RMK place in the north. Unfortunately, we had to turn back at one point. The path had recently been used by forest workers and was therefore completely destroyed, resulting in ruts that were 50 cm deep in places with a track width of around 2.50 m. It would certainly have been drivable, but considering the late hour, we didn't want to take any risks. We stayed two days at the RMK place, again directly on the Baltic Sea with wonderfully warm water.
Then, some track driving was announced. In the last few days it had rained again and again - that meant that the track also turned into a small mud pit at times. What started with puddles later became a lane with extremely deep water mud holes. So it got exciting. After a good kilometer, however, it was over and the turning maneuver could only be solved with sand boards and diff locks. We decided to stay on the track a little bit further south and then to get to the ferry to Saaremaa via larger roads.
Luckily we got one of the last places that day and reached Saaremaa in the early evening, drove to the next RMK place and set up camp. The following morning we just managed to pack everything together before a heavy storm hit. So it was once again to master the track in wet conditions. When we were only a few kilometers away from our next sleeping place, the previously very good-natured path changed and it got muddy. But still drivable. A short time later, two longer water crossings followed and finally we reached a new beautiful place near the sea. We stayed here again for two nights and enjoyed the again good and warm weather.
We drove directly to the beach in the far northwest for two more nights and enjoyed the sun again. Since Team Lada slowly had to start their way back, we decided to drive south with them. We drove to Kuivastu and took the ferry back to the mainland to spend the last two warm days at the sea a little further south. An incredibly beautiful place under the pine trees on the beach but with so many ants that we've not seen before. Then a cold front finally caught up with us. Team Lada spontaneously decided to go straight home in one ride and we continued south the following day.
