Oh dear, long time no see but there was so much going on. But unfortunately, a little time for reports - or in the meantime no leisure to write something although it was long overdue. But one after anonther…
After leaving Poland behind us, we visited our Czech friends (whom we met in Andalusia earlier this year) near Mladá Boleslav. They have a beautiful little farm in a village there. Since we arrived a day earlier than originally planned, we were immediately invited to the birthday party by her friends. It was very nice, a real "Czech party" with all sorts of homemade delicacies, nice people and of course lots of good beer.
We stayed with Janča and Honza for almost a week, visited a small private zoo in a backyard with rescued animals and chopped wood for the winter. The children could play in the yard all day long and in the evening there was a barbecue several times. It was beautiful and so idyllic, we didn't really want to leave, but the next invitation was waiting.
After a week we drove on towards Dresden, more precisely to Diedenhain, where we were spontaneously invited to a small, contemplative Syncro meeting on the first weekend in October. It was wonderful here too, lots of nice people, lots of other children and Syncros. You could also ask a lot of them, because the tranquil field hollow for playing with the vehicles became an absolute mud fight due to the persistent rain, in which no Syncro had even the slightest chance. Only small Subaru speedsters weighing less than 1t could slide through the mud.
After the weekend we visited my parents in Dresden for a week. The reunion was very nice and the week too. I was able to do a few little things on the bus and to the dentist again and on Saturday we drove on to Berlin to visit Merit and Timor, who we had met in Portugal. Luisa in particular was happy to finally see Leola again, but unfortunately we only stayed one night, because we were registered with my grandparents on Sunday.
We arrived in Schwerin on Sunday afternoon and stayed for a week to have some time with the grandparents or great-grandparents, to give them a hand in the garden and to help with the preparations for their diamond wedding. In the middle of the week my parents came along and spontaneously our bus, Zacharias, was chosen as the wedding car. For this he was first washed, which in my eyes seemed very festive. But of course he was also decorated accordingly.
After we were able to experience a very nice wedding party, it was time for us to drive south again. We had already planned this wedding date at the beginning of our trip and then wanted to head towards the Balkans and Saudi Arabia. After another week in Dresden, we went to Fabi, Antje and Ronja near Dornbirn on Saturday night. We had also planned this meeting a while in advance. Here, in the middle of the mountains, it is always beautiful and you can relax, sit comfortably in the hot tub under the starry sky and enjoy beer and good music.
On Sunday we first drove to our godchild Konstantin in Switzerland, because it was his birthday today and we were able to see Juliane's sister again. In the evening we went to Juliane's parents. The reunion was very nice here, too, and we were able to tidy up the bus a little and do a few last little things on the bus. At the end of the week we visited Juliane's second sister in Zug and then drove to Forggensee for 2 days to meet Mitch there. It's always nice with Mitch, too, and we had two really nice, warm days at the end of October. We also use the weekend to map out our further route a little more precisely, which wasn't that easy. But more about that in the next post 😉
